Shavtieli was founded by Yitzhak Shavtieli in the early 1980s. The company was among the first in the world to manufacture reusable traps for flies and wasps with non-toxic bait. Shavtieli traps are designed for anyone on the ground who struggles with flies and wasps.

All Shavtieli traps rely on the original Shavtieli bait, highly effective at attracting house flies, fruit flies, olive flies and German and African wasps (hornets) together.
Our products provide a wide range of solutions and are sold wherever people live on the ground — gardens, orchards, farms, dairy barns, goat pens, poultry houses, swimming pools, restaurants, cafés, event venues, hotels,parks, kibbutzim, moshavim, and more.

In 2015, Yitzhak passed company management to his son Ran Shavtieli, who took the company several steps forward — reflected in developing and manufacturing additional trap models while keeping the company ethos — producing and marketing eco-friendly products that are natural and community-friendly.
